Portable Career
After graduating from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, Rob Doeselaar lived and worked in several countries such as India, the United States, Senegal, Ghana and Mali. Currently he has a studio in The Hague.
In his paintings Rob Doeselaar reacts to his environment and what he experiences. Each country brings a new perspective and new themes. He searches for a balance between paint and imagination, craftsmanship and experiment, between chance and rational choices.
