London palm trees

I really love palm trees. They make me long for the tropics. Quite unexpectedly I saw a few in a secluded garden in London near Sloan Square.

Hi Mr Rob, a great ipad painting, would be interested to know what tools you used. Do you use a stylus? or pen? what app? Do you use a photo as a reference? Would love to hear more…

Thank you for appreciating my sketch. I use a stylus, yes, I don’t like the feeling of fingertip on glass, I use Brushes version 1, and, yes, I use my own photography as a reference.

Thanks for your reply. What stylus do you use? I love the way you use white to erase and highlight, very inspirational.

Ahsan, I use a Wacom Bamboo stylus. I think I have an old model, because what Wacom offers now looks slightly different to me. By the way, I use white instead of erase, but I guess it’s all the same if you do it in one layer. Rob
