Ice Palace

In the evening The Hague City Hall, designed by Richard Meier, is transformed like a photonegative. The dark tinted windows change into headlights and the snow-white exterior suddenly becomes a dark shadow. Therefore, the nickname ‘Ice Palace’ only applies to daytime.
