Le Balcon de Genève en hiver 2

A 15 minute walk from my apartment in Carouge I look at the Salève, a table mountain that has the nickname the Balcony of Geneva. I start with sketches on the iPad in black and white. Here and there you see patches of snow.

Le Balcon de Genève en hiver 1

A few months ago I moved from Maputo to Geneva, ideally located in a beautiful environment. It is relatively close to The Hague, so that I can also be there regularly. My work has been quiet for a while, but I will now start painting again. It is only a 15 minute walk from my apartment in Carouge that I look at the Salève, a kind of table mountain that has the nickname the Balcony of Geneva. Indeed, from the top you have a nice view of the city and the lake.

I start with sketching on the iPad in black and white. I am helped by the winter conditions. The mountain wall is powdered with snow, there are many contrasts and surprising forms.
