6 Würfel, 36 Quadrate

His entire life Ulrich Mikloweit is cutting and pasting objects from typewriter paper. Inspired by M. C. Escher’s graphic prints he creates a garden of polyhedra. You can look through the objects and be surprised of what you discover inside. 6 Würfel, 36 Quadrate is a game of 6 hexagons (cubes) engaged in one another. I really like the shadow on the wall. You can see Ulrich's polyhedra in Gallery Beeld & Aambeeld . The show runs until July 31. It is part of a series of exhibitions of ‘Bridges 2013’ in Enschede. I show my work in the Performance Factory, which is also part of the project.

After visiting the exhibition of David Hockney at the Ludwig Museum I walked along the famous cathedral for something completely different. If you are looking for some bones of the Three Wise Men you maybe lucky to find them here.

Dangerous news

Reporters wearing a bulletproof vest and a military helmet on their head, frequently appear on television. In the middle of a war they bring us live breaking news. These kinds of scenes are fascinating. So much, that I often forget about which war they are talking.

Are we almost there?

From the time God used his forefinger for bringing Adam to life, who as the first man imagined that the world was a flat paradise, we are now approaching the probable beginning of the universe and look at the image when it was only 500 million years young.
